I just got an email from Fileplanet this morning (as I am a subscriber) offering me the Beta for PC or PS3 Medal of Honor!!

Am just downloading it all now and will get it installed on my gaming PC @ GF's tonight and see what its like....

ok, so basically the new Medal of Honor is like Battlefield Bad Company 2. They're probably gonna use the UT-3-Engine for the singleplayer part, for the multiplayer party they're using the Frostbite-Engine (which you know from Bad Company 2). The mp feels really similiar to BC2 as the aiming, shooting and the damage model is about the same. The movement is the same either. you can't prone, you can't strafe while sprinting and you cant shoot while you sprint. they have to work on the damage model for the explosives. nades and launcher have as good as no effects. the accuracy and the damage of the weapons is quite ok for the normal mode, i hope they bring in a hardcore mode lateron, or at least for the full version when it's released.

If you don't have the beta yet, you don't have to pre-order the game. You can get the beta over on fileplanet if you're registered there. the cool thing is you don't even have to be a subscriber there in order to get the beta. it started on June 21st and ends on July 17th. i hope this little review was ok for you guys to decide if you go for it or not. i would recommend to get the beta anyway.

all i have to say its one of the worst ever beta i have tried the scenary good but everything else is bad if you try and use the chat thing you can not get off it and have to either quit or wait till the game over for next round and the M21 sounds like the the garand the ww2 weapon lol and you have to lvl up with weapons and the sniper comes with a red dot scope at start
over all it seems like a game from 5-6 years ago must as apex said last night a old beta version and on the forums they not happy at all just hope theres another version soon of the beta as ther no way its going to be a hit only a flop

Yeah its a very ealry build beta and mine crashed a few times while playing - its not as polished as the BC2 beta was, thats for sure. Felt too much like a console port with slow controls, etc!!

Hopefully the final game should be the same as BC2, as its using the same engine, etc.

I think all they are doing is this as a backend excercise to amke sure their new systems work as expected.
