I see what he means and yes we dont support them enough but if im honest once i close this post i will only think of it when something else appears on the news and all of you will do exactly the same unless of course you have someone involved in the army, its a shame but a fact. I suppose in a funny way this is the way the british are whereas the americans are not we do support the army in our own way but we dont need to shout about it and i bet a lot of soldiers dont care to much either, i do know a few soldiers and they are not fussed either way it was just the way it was if they wanted fans then they would i suppose join a footie team :)

dont get me started.........im sure the dead arnt bothered about being stuck in traffic, its for the living to find things to complain about yes the general lack of respect and pride in our armed forces is a sad reflection of our nation.

our prioritys seem a bit pissed, but for most who have the freedom of speech the fact that our forefathers fought hard for this freedom isnt the first thing that comes to mind when your exercising your mouth down the pub on a friday night or cheering an overpaid premadona on the terraces of your local football ground. we are in a perpetual state of war and have been for the past 60 years the bodybags are still coming home and most of the population dont seem to give a f..k! talk is still cheap our boys and girls maimed and injured in combat are still left struggling when they come home and nothings been done only the usual lipservice spouted by our leadership, a quater of the homeless on our streets are ex serviceman, others relient on handouts and charitys to survive, many suffering in silence waiting in ques to be treated by the nhs, our gulf veterans dieing slowly, poisened by coctails of drugs administered to chickens first to check thier affects then given to our troops, ignored by our government when gulf war syndrome is recognised in the US. more men who fought in the falklands have died committing suicide than were killed in the conflict left untreated for ptsd... the list of injustice,s go's on and on so sign the petition, buy a poppy for remembrance day stfu for a minites silence and pray that our young men and women stem the tide of evil that stalks this earth and would destroy everything that we have the freedom to bitch and complain about

enough said?...now feck off

My mate Anthony joined the army straight from school. Went to the gulf and basically got the bottom half of his left arm blown off (incidentally by the same bullet that killed the guy sitting next to him).

He lost 2 fingers and most of the use of his left arm. Baring mind that he was an intelligent, motivated and very proud to be a soldier and could have bsically done anything he wanted.

He got NOTHING from the government, he in fact got less than your average bloody scum bag whos been watching Jeremy Kyle for his whole llife and claiming benefits. He got no treatment for the mental distress of seeing what he saw, he got a medal for manning the gun on his APC and killing the bast who shot at them. He didn't even get any physio until he complained about it.

It's poeple like him that have spilled there blood from the year dot to keep us free and able to do what we want. We all have an opinion on the subject of Iraq (and every other war for that matter) we all call ourselves patriots and have a good rant, but when was the last time any of us (excluding the ex squaddies among us) risked out lives to protect the UK?

I would rather pay more taxes to look after our soldiers than to give bloody governmant fat cats a massive pay rise.
