Downloaded & installed this morning, had a quick run around an empty server, feels comfortably familiar in a CoD4 stylee, weapons feel chunky and the sound effects were good with echo's and stuff going on.

It'll be interesting to see if it plays any differently from CoD4, but hopefully i'll get a chance to have a go tonight.

You can add clan tags to your profile name once you get to the options screen, they appear in square brackets before your name, ends up looking like [TuG]Sherriff, seems to have friends lists in game, so i'll be looking you up later Beaver!

Cheers,

Sherriff

In my opinion, the game is very fun to play, however, my only problem with it is the way that your guy actually moves, it seems very clunky and pretty un-smooth. Once again, all the guns seem pretty accurate, but it does take a lot of bullets to kill someone in this game. The graphics are also very nice, no problems with them. I had a bit of a glitch on Makin with the water, but went onto a different server and it was pretty much fixed. The tank was pretty cool on one of the levels, I've managed to get a kill streak of about 7 already, the dogs are pretty cool. I shot one in the head with a sniper rifle and it didn't die. The artillery is alright, pretty accurate, so it's hard to kill many people...

Other than that, I think it's an excellent game, so I'm definetely pre-ordering.

Also, if anyone sees a link for the special edition, link me. Because I've only seen one and it cost

Ok then.

Having played the game quite a lot, I have to say I prefer it to COD4.

Weapons :

The weapons are a bit crummy to start with (so was COD4) but once you get your rank up it becomes a lot more enjoyable. The game is a lot more visceral that COD4, you can blow arms and legs off with grenades, and I had a big grin the first time I took a leg off with a shotgun.

All the usual grenades are present as well as a huge anti tank grenade which really shakes you up if you get one lobbed at you.

We also get a grenade kill cam and (the biggest laugh in the game) an artilllary kill cam.

On of the best new additions is that if you get 7 kills in a row you get a big pack of dogs to rip into the other team ( I seem to remember a certain .TuG. member coming up with this idea?). It is sheer mayhem when this happens.

You can now also enter tanks which are very scary to come up against but not so powerful as to unbalance the game.

I would say the scope for tactical play (and modding) is better than COD4, in Hardcore mode it's a very satisfying game.
