.TuG.Psychdlc
Hey Bulldog, I put this here because I thought others might be interested...If it bothers bvr he can just delete it Look I have been researching kiting and I just wondered if you can get your advice.... I have surfed all my life ...Well except last three years... I grew up in S-cal .....I lived in Hawaii 2 years and in front of Log Cabins in N.cal 1 year and have a house in front of a break called Zippers in Cabo San Lucas....bla bla bla... In other words I know the water and waves etc etc ....just no clue on this fangled kite bidness...lol Where I will be using it (60%) is here on Gotland....which is like the windiest place on earth...and no I am not joking....I though Maui was windy until I moved here. The rest of the time I will be using it when I travel ..... erm... I am 5'11'' and 185 pounds give or take a six pack or two Ok here are the ???'s I was thinking of a board like this to start?? BRUNOTTI COBRA 173cm(Reference #CB065C) The board for kiteboarders that are familiarising themselves with the sport, and aspire to progress rapidly to more experienced levels of kiting. Price: ?510.00 what u think??? but I have no clue with all the other stuff....Can you kind of get me started with some equip choices....good stuff at reasonable price = "great" but Please no junk I hate doing something with crap equip...it just makes it harder.... and maybe some good info sites etc.... I'll buy from you if you ship here..... ow ya 1 last ????--How easy is it to take this stuff on an airplane/travel??? Thx - Psychdlc

.TuG.Bulldog
ok here are the ???'s I was thinking of a board like this to start?? BRUNOTTI COBRA 173cm(Reference #CB065C) The board for kiteboarders that are familiarising themselves with the sport, and aspire to progress rapidly to more experienced levels of kiting. >this board is a little long if you wish to progress on one board you want to look more in the range of 160cm to 150 cm otherwise you will need to change your board within a mounth of learning (and you dont want to do that at ?500 a pop) the sick series are great boards the 150cm sicko would be good! or the wipika edge 149 i rider the 140 edge it rocks! you sound like you quite happy on a board so that is not the problem! Kite control is 90% of kite surfing so get the kite and practice till you can fly it with your eye closed! have you flown power kites befor? if no then you are in for a shock they are massively powerfull!!! but I have no clue with all the other stuff....Can you kind of get me started with some equip choices.... good stuff at reasonable price = "great" but Please no junk I hate doing something with crap equip...it just makes it harder.... >Wipika hydro II kite in a 9m (?699)is a great allround kite but i need to know the avaeage wind speed you will want to fly in ???? >You will need a wetsuit i dont know cold the sea is there bu i can wear a 3mm suit now >a very good value warn flexy one is the lunapoint gbs at ?89.99 >other kit like boency aid and helmet is optional! and maybe some good info sites etc.... >look a www.wipika.com cool site or just search under kitesurf on google >dont belive every thing you read people are out to sell stuff as you know! I'll buy from you if you ship here..... we can ship there i dont know how much postage is though?? ill have to find out when you decided a little more what you nee ow ya 1 last ????--How easy is it to take this stuff on an airplane/travel??? dead easy!! it all fits in a bag that looks like a big suit case, that another good reason to go for a shorter board! Thx - Psychdlc no problem --- bulldog any further questions please post here!

.TuG.Bulldog
hi thats pretty windy youll be needin a ~10m2 kite if you just want 1 kite that shoul give you a range of ~15-25 mph but brands do vairy so the wipika amp 7.1 or 8.7 would be best, being high aspect ratio they have a wider wind range. check out http://www.wipikakiteboarding.com/ this is a well made site bever take not can tug have a site like this please lol
