I found a great little utility for remotely controlling the CoD server and will be testing it out over the next week or so. It's called - DivCon 1.0 - and allows u to change map/gametype - all weapon restrictions - kick people etc. You can also use it without running CoD so can remotely change server without having to run CoD. The only problem I see with it is that is runs in the background and may need lots of 'tabbing' out to use it.

Found a link to this interesting article about Call of Duty hacking/weapons/tactics. Check it out, here: http://www.firingsquad.com/games/call_of_d...ide/default.asp Very good reading and may explain a few things to us noobs.

It'll actually be the JAVA IRC I put up above - but with our site wrapped around it and it will connect to gamesnet and to our #clantug & #clansaf channels.
-
Because I'm such a nice chap - I have found a nice Java-IRC chat client for u to download and put on your local machine. Link here: http://www.clantug.com/downloads/IRC-Java.zip Just unzip to it's own folder and double click on the irc.html file. This will probably pop-up and ask you a security question about granting java to run. Say yes. Then all you need to do to connect to games net is enter a Nickname to use where it says 'Nick' at the top of the screen - MAKE SURE YOU PUT THE USERNAME IN lowercase also delete the password as it is not required. The click where it says in the middle of screen and you should connect. Have fun and let me know how you go - you will need to have java installed on your local machine for this to work though.

You can actually use a web browser to connect to IRC using a java chat client. Try this link at gamesnet.net: http://www.gamesnet.net/chat.php It should load a java chat client that you can then use to join IRC and chat with us. I'm gonna put something similar on the TUG website if it works well. That way u dont need and IRC client installed on your local machine to chat.

If u wanna find out whats going on and chat etc - then might I suggest that you come and 'idle' in IRC. TUG/SAF have their own channels and I am always on there. Wizzy, Undying, Duck, Kaiser, Stryker, Rogue, Benny, Vulva to name a few also make appearances from time to time. I find it's much better to group chat in IRC. Get an IRC client (and info about IRC) from - http://www.mirc.com Our channels are on: irc.gamesnet.net Our Channels are: #clantug #clansaf I can also be found in: #teamwarfare #twl_GR #twl_cod #twl_aa #twl_soldner My nickname is: TWL|Beaver

This game is HOT! Check out the official website, here: http://soldner.jowood.com All those peeps who love Operation Flashpoint will just love the posibilties available with Soldner: Secret Wars This is gonna be a fantastic Squad Based (GR anyone?) game with different classes available to clans - so u wanna be a Sniper or a Heli Pilot or the Commander or a whatever - now u get to choose. There are vehicles to play with - Tanks/APC's/Helo's/Planes There is a huge variety of weapons available and all players are completely skinable so u can make your team look l33t. The beta is happening now & I have my request put in. I think this could be the next big thing we can play online as a clan if GR2 fails to make an appearance.

Well, the bios is usually accessed by hitting the 'del' or 'f1' key when the pc is 1st fired up - that's all the stuff you normally see on screen telling you what drives & how much memory etc before the windows XP logo actually arrives. As for the Norton - not sure what you need to do for that - I guess they sent you a code or something to put into in when you bought it - that is ur subscription i think. -
I have now updated the TUG & Team DoH site's - with Server Status info for our Call Of Duty servers. Link, here: TUG - http://www.clantug.com/modules.php?name=Gameserver Team DoH - http://doh.clantug.com/modules.php?name=Gameserver Let me know if there are any problems.

If you have a windows XP CD, then it is a bootable CD - just make sure you go into your bios and set the 1st Boot Device to CD rather than Hard-Drive. Place the windows XP cd in the drive & re-boot. Follow, the prompt when it says hit a key to boot from CD and the machine will then boot from the XP CD and go into it;s install routine. You can then either do a repair or format the disc and do a fresh install. I would however make sure you acked up all your emails & things 1st as these will be lost. The other option is to do a repair on XP 1st and see if that works. -
Well, apparantly my new server from TWLHosting is ready and waiting for action. The server is 16 man set-up. Server IP: 69.25.16.125:28961 Server Name: TUG CoD Server - www.clantug.com Have a try and connect to it to see what it's like. Let me know if there are any problems.

Luddy my Buddy. There is an Admin panel for you to accept matches, report results & make challenges - this is available when you are logged into TWL Site. If you click home on the top left menu - which should show ur login name - then you can see your admin panel and do stuff from there. It should show you any current challenges that you have for all the ladders you are in and a couple of buttons on the right side. Like the attached screen shot - but it will say 'Player Competition Status' instead of 'Team Competition Status'. Let me know if your still having problems - maybe I can talk u through it on TS.

I've been busy playing with a cool little flash animation program called Swishmax and decided to try doing a nice intro for us. To check out the progress so far, follow this link: http://www.clantug.com/tugtest.html I'll be updating it as I go, so check back often. As always, comments are appreciated.
