.TuG.Skeeta
Alright JJ, I stayed here about 8 months ago and would really recommend it: http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/cp/1/en/hotel/amsnl;jsessionid=QNWBRF2UXB0QOCTGWAJSHPQKM0YBIIY4?_requestid=342588 Also they have a priority club you can sign up for so you get a load of goodies once your out there. Its also very close to Amsterdam Central train station (3 minute walk) so no need to get taxis - basicly you slap bang in the middle of Amsterdam. Your also 2 minutes from where the torist boats leave to go on the tours so you can visit all the sites nice and easy. Once thing you will notice is the size of the rooms - there all of a smaller that usuall size but that goes for Dam as a whole. If you need some ideas as to resturants / pubs (good traditional dutch ones, they really are the most hospitable of all the European countires) give me a shout and ill put some down for you. Cheers! .TuG.Skeeta
BTW, I think Prague is proberley better for sight seeing and those romantic evenings together! That said I prefered Amsterdam because of the people, should give Prague a look tho.
