SAF_Kaiser
This was a pretty cool one and thought you guys might like it. I'm still trying to figure out how to make them.
.TuG.Beaver
nice K, thanks. There are a couple of tutorials on platoon.com raven shield section about what to do to make an arm patch and how to install it. If you look at the main logo on the left side of our website - I think we will use that if I can get it reduced enough and still look ok.
SAF_Kaiser
Well I'm still working on it but have not got one to work yet. I must be missing something in the instructions. they keep talking about having two files, the tga file and I think a gif file or something like that. When you guys get one done do me a favor and give me some instructions in Kaiser "noob" terms
.TuG.Beaver
the 1st set of insturctions on the platoon are actually what you need to do to upload the file to the platoon database. This link - http://www.theplatoon.com/ravenshield/armpatch_tut.asp - is the one you want.

.TuG.Beaver
Woot - I have done it. OK Kaiser - really easy. 1. Get a picture you want to use as an armpatch. 2. Load it into photoshop or paintshop. 3. Resize it to 64x64 pixels. 4. Save the picture as a .TGA (Targa Format) - I used ACDSEE to resize & save a JPEG file I had lying around. Important - the image must be 64x64 pixels and truecolour (24 bit) 5. Put the .tga file in your ravenshield/armpatches folder. 6. Load ravenshield - goto multiplayer section of options & select your armpatch from the list. 7. Job done. Originally my image was viewed upside down in RavenShield, but there is a option when saving to do a 'bottom up image' which fixed this problem. If you want me to convert a file for ya, just post the image here and I'll have a go. I can then MSN or email back to ya.
SAF_Kaiser
Got one to work I think. It least it shows on my selection screen. Not sure if anyone can see it in a game though. Still not sure how all that works.
