You have the latest TS2 client installed? If so, the other thing to check would be your Sound Card settings - check the mic input isnt turned up too much. You can also do a loopback test within TS - is that working OK? Try it with the Speex 25.9 codec.

After hearing Kaiser whoop it up with joy last night while he was playing JO:TR and reading the good feedback about the game now its been patched up - I went and bought a copy today from PC Word (they have dropped all prices for games which is nice - ?35 is now ?25 etc.) I wont get a chance to play it until later, will let you know more when I do.

Decided to go 'loud' with an AUG+CMAG - cleared out the downstairs then the roof - as I came back downstairs again - found a whole shit load of tangos running around. So I mowed em all down.

Where's the clip?

I found a few god things while surfing some other Soldner clan sites. 1. Change the in-game main menu music. Very simple. a. Inside your Soldner folder, navigate to ..\Game\Content b. Create a folder called 'sound'. c. Go into the sound folder and create another called 'music'. d. Go into music folder and copy in an mp3 file that you want to use. e. Rename the MP3 file to: Dyn_MapLoad.mp3 Thats it. So full path would be for example: e:\soldner\game\content\sound\music\dyn_mapload.mp3 Currently I'm using Korn - Here to Stay. 2. Turn off the 2 intro movies - NVidia & Jowood. a. Open your config.ini file b. Search for a line that says: bPlayIntro=1 c. Change the '1' to '0' to turn off intro movies. 3. Reduce the amount of time the End Screen dispays (default is 6000ms) a. open config.ini file. b. goto end of file and look for line that says: showEndScreenTimeMS=6000 c. change to whatever you want. I used 600. Enjoy.

The new patch was released today, bringing the client & dedicated servers upto Build 28610 Download links & patch changelist, here: http://soldner.jowood.com/?RubrikIdentifie...6&lang=en#10237 I have downloaded both and will be updating our test server later and putting it online for some fun this evening.

Personally - I would do the following: Get the new socket 939 pin Athlon FX53 chips & mobo's - you might even want to wait a little while and get one with PCI Express and get a new 6800 PCI Exp GFX card too. The current 753 pin athlon is going obsolete. As for the HD's - I would get 2 74GB WD Raptors 10,000 & put em in a nice raid configuration - talk about fast.

Just incase you guys havent noticed yet - we have a Java IRC Client link on the main site which will connect you to our clan channel on IRC, it also connects to the TWL Ghost Recon channel too. Ya - TWL had high hopes for this game as a good ladder game. As Tant pointed out - the devs got screwed and the publishers fucked the game up.

NTL have also done the same, except they dont have a 2/3meg service. 150k -> 300K 600K -> 750K 1M -> 1.5M

Those specs are fine. Here's the Specs required from the back of the box. Min Specs: Win XP/2000/ME/98 - 256MB RAM - P4 or AMD 1.4GHZ - 3D DX8.1 Compat 32MB Geforce3 or similar Rec Specs: Win XP/2000/ME/98 - 512MB RAM - P4 or AMD 3.0GHZ - 3D DX9.0 Compat 64MB Geforce4 (except MX) or ATI Radeon So, as you can see - you have more than enough. My Specs: Win XP - 512MB Ram - Athlon 2600+ XP - GF4 Ti4200 128MB AGPx8 Some notes to make the game run smoother. 1. Reduce GFX settings to 800x600x16b - Ups the FPS 2. Reduce the detail for textures etc - ups the FPS 3. Ensure that your Windows page file (virtual memory) is set to approx 1.5 x your actual physical memory. i.e. If you got 512MB - set it to 768MB Fixed - 1.5x512) 4. Make sure you have the latest graphics drivers and tweak them, turn off AA & all the other stuff - ups the FPS. 5. This game seems to be tweaked more for NVidia cards - so should run well if you have a GF4 and latest drivers (56.72 for XP/200) 6. Go into you Nvidia control panel and set the 'Refresh Rates Override' so the screen mode you use matches the best refresh you monitor can do for that res. i.e. - My game is running on 1024x768x32 - I set my monitor refresh to 75 as thats the best setting for 1024x768 I'm sure there are other tweaks I forgot - but if you have at least 256MB mem & a good nvidia gf4 card - it should fly.

My server is now updated and I have tested it - it rocks - much smoother and quicker connections etc.
