Hey Tantalus, good to see you are still around... Excellent points on overclocking, I would advise against it, unless as you say... You MUST have extreme cooling, preferably watercooling (not something that I woould put in my baby, water and electronice dont mix well if it leaks...) You know what you are doing (is it worth buying a new CPU cos you fried the one you have) Consider long and hard (no sexual reference inferred) why you want to overclock and what you expect from it... RAM to the extreme and use the manufacturers overclocking utility on your graphics card, streamline your system i.e. Registry, remove programmes and apps that you don't need and you'll get possibly what you want anyway...
