How to Protect Windows

I would just like to list all my applications I use to protect my computer, they seem to do a good job, but would like other people to list best/favourite apps. (I try to run all these apps once every 2 weeks)

Spyware

Ad-Aware SE (free/buy) personal http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/

CClearner (free) http://www.ccleaner.com/

This is good, because it deletes temp folders/files that hold the spyware/adware.

 

AntiVirus/Trojan

 

AVG anti-virus (free) http://free.grisoft.com

 

a-Square (free/buy) http://www.emsisoft.com/en/

 

Firewall

 

Sygate firewall (free) http://trs-gaming.com/downloads/brok21k/spf.exe

This is no longer available, but I’ve backup and still use because its doesn’t slow XP unlike other firewalls.
