The new patch is out. I found this link to be a good fast download. I have it downloaded but its not installed yet. I'll wait until the rest of you have it, that way we don't lose anyone along the way

1.3 Server Crashings - 6/17/2003 - Munkey

The 1.3 patch has an error that causes servers to crash on the "deploying countdown". The crash has you (and everyone else in the server) sitting in the game staring at the countdown stuck on 1. This happens at random times. The only way to exit is to open console and type in either disconnect or quit.

 

Hopefully there will be a server side fix for this soon, or maybe a full 1.3 patch fix. We'll keep an eye on the situation at hand.

But on a positive note there are a few fixes that have been implemented that i personally welcome with open arms.

 

1. Those darn fools who insist on changing their names to tell ya to commit suicide will no longer be able to..................yippeeeee.

 

2. The new CD Key banning system is in on this patch.

 

3. And last but not least ASE is now fully supported with this patch.

 

4. I havent tried it yet but hopefully i will be able to play RvS again..............now.

I will not be installing the 1.3 patch on my server until I come back next week.

 

By then, It'll probably be 1.4.

Judging from the forums everyone is really fighting with this patch right now. I'm glad I didn't install it.
