I know I don't count as one of the 'older ones' and probably don't have as much input as most will on this particular topic, but yeah I have to agree that the PC community has gone severely downhill in the last year. I think the biggest blow was the fact that MW2 wasn't getting any dedicated servers. And I suppose many other games have followed suit. Also the fact that MW2 is just a crappy port from the 360 makes it slightly more depressing (Microsoft dominated much?) As basically all FPS games started from computers, and should continue that way, as I remember reading somewhere that in reality, consoles won't be as powerful as computers, and if they try to be, they'll be endlessly too expensive. It's funny how 2 years ago PC's were the future, now it's all left down to consoles. I think the quote from the guy heading Battlefield was pretty hopeful, "Dedicated servers ftw" I think that alone pretty much redeemed him from the console exclusive Bad Company 1. It's good to know there's at least one developer that hasn't gone completely console mental. But yeah, it'll be pretty interesting to see how the future goes in terms of computer gaming.

Sounds about right ^^^^. Windows 7 severely recommended (it's fecking amazing, blasts Vista out the window already). And I suppose if they don't want anything serious, it seems like a hell of a lot of effort to put a computer together yourself, and at such a cheap price, the difference is pretty minimal.

I can imagine this clan not being very consoley, let alone this type of game, but holy damn. If you weren't a fan of AC1 and you played it, you're a fool. If you haven't played it, you're also a fool. But I can see where a lot of people criticise it for being repetitive, but I don't find it boring, I'm like that. But this game, has genuinely restored my faith in gaming. It's probably the best game I've played in such a long time, it's god damn unbelievable. The scenery is stunning, the side quests add to the story really well, the actual storyline is incredible, along with the gameplay and the missions. The game's a very good length too, not Zelda massive, and not COD short. Plenty of things to do, and a lot to explore. I genuinely cannot think of anything bad with this game, other than a couple graphical glitches, but what game doesn't have them. I seriously recommend getting it, and if you can't be bothered to get/finish Assassin's Creed 1, just read the plot on wikipedia or something and buy this game!!!!!

Happy Birthday! Have a good'un.

Surely they'd do a PC to console port? As isn't it a little too graphically intense to make for a console?

Can't believe I actually tried adding you wizzy. Twice.

Post yer PS3 names hee-ar http://forums.tugteam.com/index.php?/topic/4912-post-your-playstation-3-names-here/

Anyway ladies, appropriate thread for the names! http://forums.tugteam.com/index.php?/topic/4912-post-your-playstation-3-names-here/

I figured since we don't have an official thread for it, may as well as it makes it easier for everyone to find people in the clan's PS3 names. Mine is: TuGDaveAlmighty (FYI, capitals don't matter) List so far: (user - ps3 id) DaveAlmighty - TuGDaveAlmighty JJUK - TuG_JJUK Beaver - TuG_Beaver Benny - TuG_Benny Bulldog - jbgov Elemental - iHeartMash Lok - LOK-_- brok21k - Brok21 bran_lax- Bran

Ah but I mean, COD4 basically brought this clan together for months! Hadn't seen that many people on the comms for so often since I've been here, and especially since CS:S sorta went dead.

I shall beat him into submission for you wizzy. It's (not) legal.

To be honest, MW2 was the one beacon of hope we had... And that just went all tits up. I really can't think of anything that's gonna save us

Well, it depends on the price difference, if it's only about a tenner, I'd say just get the 250. If it's anymore you can get the 120gb as it is plenty of space.

Sweet mercy jesus arse, why can't game developers LISTEN TO THE COMMUNITY! NOT MAKE THE GAME THEN ASK!

Hah, owning it on both, I'm pretty sure I'm able to give the least biased opinion? Obviously I prefer it on PC over console, but to be honest, if you're playing with friends on consoles, it's really not that bad. It's especially good if you have friends round your house, (yes I can still do that unlike you old people )

No, as in the place I ordered it from sent it early. People on the PS3/360 got it early but they can play it. Stupid steam and their ingenious security system.

Silly MW2. The game arrived 3 days early, regardless of how little you lot care, I'm still very excited. But Steam won't accept the product key! Grr. Lame.

I think MW2 is just a one-off cock up. I'm still buying it though. As, being a console person, since this is literally just a console version for the computer, and a tenner cheaper, I figure why not. The gameplay isn't going to be changed, nor are the perks, which is the real reason why we should be playing this game. They claim that it's not going to be one shitty console port version of the matchmaking system, so I suppose I'll test it out and give feedback. I'm hoping it's not as bad as everyone is making it out to be although I'm not being optimistic. I will however be angry if we don't get the option to select a map. That would piss me off excessively.

Mine's TuGDaveAlmighty

If you mean, who has a PS3, then yeah, I do. Bulldog and Elemental have them as well. I've sorta got 3; me and my brothers have one each. And I had to spend 2 years trying to convince Elemental to get one.

Well if Yahtzee says it's a good game, it must be! ( http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation ) I could order it I suppose. I seem to be ordering lots of games and not playing them, I might put this one on hold for a bit.

Eh well, still tempted to purchase said game. I mean come on, look at this fecking video.

I think we've vented our anger at those Tits formerly known as Infinity Ward

Hmm, I'm probably going to keep vista on my current 500GB, and get two 1TB hardrives, and do RAID 1 with them on Windows 7.

Definitely.
