Comp Update
.TuG.-Breaker replied to .TuG.JJUK's topic in Computers / Consoles / Mobile Phones / Gadgets
well, yeah, Atomic got himself a new rig, he has got a Core I5 i think, just like a friend of mine. He's really pleased with it! The I7 is actually a quad-core cpu, but it has got 4 more virtual cores. I don't know how that works really. Anyway, i would go for an NVidia anyway, GTX 275 and up. I think it's best if you wait for the complete new Nvidia series, they will also go for DX11 on those. -

.TuG.-Breaker replied to .TuG.Beaver's topic in Battlefield:Bad Company 2 PC Beta
so far so good, i'm gonna test it tomorrow im sorry Bully, i can't make it tonight! -
alright, i guess 550w should be enough, but i'm not quite sure. I've got the exact same card and all and used to have a 500w BeQuiet StraightPower, but after a while (couple of weeks) the psu got blown up....i think that was caused by the graphics card...but as i said, 550w should be enough if you've got a good psu...i got meself a no-name psu now, 750w, for some power in petto

Updating a Comp
.TuG.-Breaker replied to .TuG.Bran's topic in Computers / Consoles / Mobile Phones / Gadgets
well, i would go for medium-end stuff...not too good, not too bad, quite cheap for example a cheap Intel Core2Duo, 2 gb of ram, for example and 8800 GT if they do some video or photo editing stuff, a bigger hdd of course as they cost like nothing at the mo, 500 gig should be fine, Sata II connection onboard sound should be fine aswell, maybe a new version of windows( win 7 would be best at the moment) but i bet they are used to XP now and would take quite some time till they figure out all the new options and features.... so far, should be a 300-400$ pc i guess, maybe a bit more... -
yep, hearty happy birthday! Have a good day.

yeah, really does look good and maybe the best and most intense battlefield feeling ever in a game so far?
