Edit: Just went onto game site and its PS3 version.

I got an email from Fileplanet the other day about the PS3 beta for BF:BC2 and dismissed it as I didnt have a PS3 at the time. However yesterday when I went back to sign-up for the beta as I now had a PS3, it turns out that the beta is for North Americans only. (i.e USA & Canada) - what a load of poop!! Will just have to wait for the PC beta in december and hope thats for everyone.

So i finally bought one yesterday!! PS3 Slim 250GB Wolverine Blu-ray The Dark Knight Blu-ray ModernWarfare 2 Blu-Ray remote control Extras: 2nd Controller (got £10 off) Earpiece HDMI Cable Little Big Planet Friend of mine came over last night and we got drunk and played SpecOps for about 4-5 hours, it was surprisingly fun!! Although I hate the controllers.... give me a mouse & keyboard anyday!!

Battlefield3, Battlefield:Bad Company2 or Ghost Recon 4 or even Medal Of Honour (Modern Warfare) could all possibly be a saviour.... There's even the smallest possibility that MW2 might end up with Dedicated servers in the future, who knows!!

So, a few peeps have bought a new PS3 slim recently and I am now too curious to get my mits on one. The primary reason being to get a Blu-Ray player with the added functionality of the PS3. I've seen a number of packs around and the HD pack seems like a good option - basically a 250gb ps3 slim + 2x blu-ray discs + remote + game. Alternatively, theres the 120GB version. So who got what version and which one will I get?? I'm off to inverness on saturday to take the car in for a service, so will have a few hours wandering around....

Helios has posted on the CM forums that they are working on a 2nd 'significant' patch for OP-DR, which should be sizeable and contain lots of fixes for both SP & MP. Although I cant see why they are bothering if there isnt going to be any dedicated servers!! Original post: here

Yes its probably because I have a subscription, although cant remember the last time I used fileplanet other than for a BETA access!!

Did anyone see that Sainsbury's decided to sell it for £26 yesterday?? I bet all those idiots who pre-ordered for £40 are well pissed off!! lol Not sure if this was just for the console versions (PS3/360) or not. Anyway, I know Benny went and bought the PS3 version for £26 from Morrisons!! I stopped into my local small tesco store last night to get some grub and saw they had the PS3/360 versions for £25, BUT only if you bought a full price chart game with it!! They dont do PC games, so no idea if the larger 24H Tesco/ASDA near me are selling it cheap or not.

Yeah probably, although they are also doing the same to the PS3 servers too, so something is being tweaked for MP!

Helios has posted on the CM forums that there is maintenance due tomorrow on the servers. I wonder if they are positioning for dedicated files coming??

Yeah I know you did it co-op already, but I'm talking about doing solo, which is hard work, let me tell you.

I was thinking the same thing - see what happens over the next few weeks and possibly get it if they cave it... However, I doubt they will!! Was thinking of downloading it over the next few days just to play the SP, but I am not going to do that.

So how far is anyone through the single-player campaing for op flash?? I started playing it properly last night for a few hours and really enjoyed it. Since the patch I can actually kill the enemy now with 1/2 shots that I know are on target, whereas before, I had to empty whole clips into them. Slowly getting used to the whole command radial too. I'm currently on Mission 03 at the moment.

Yeah I saw it mentioned, but an not getting my hopes up just yet. I'd cream my pants if they actually made a proper sequal to OGR that had the same great gameplay & features as the 1st one, but with a nicer graphics... oh and dedicated servers of course!!

Installed and had a quick play - there are 2 cool single missions for exploring the island in day or night. You basically spawn in an airfield with lots of vehicles around - jeeps, tanks, helo's etc and can then just explore all round the island with your fireteam, no enemies. Good idea for find areas to make maps/missions I guess.

I am downloading already... Size is approx. 230MB zipped.

Well its a small start, wasnt expecting to get dedicated server files, but hopefully they will come. Look what we had to go through with GRAW1 & 2 and then with FC2 before they became playable online!!
