I got my new gfx card & win 7 installed last night - just need to get BC2 & MoH Beta on it tonight to see how it plays!!

Hi Guys, I just got an email from Nick @ Rackage about their pre-orders for MoH servers now going live, with the servers being setup and running for release on the 12th apparantly. Cost is: - 1 Month 20 slots RANKED = £12.00 - 1 Month 24 slots RANKED = £14.40 - 3 Month 20 slots RANKED (10% discount) = £32.40 - 3 Month 24 slots RANKED (10% discount) = £38.88 Do we want to get a server for 1 Month or 3 Months to see how it goes and how many slots??

I should hopefully be ready too - although my new GFX card & win 7 wont be here til the 5th!!

Yep - I got the card for - Medal of Honour - Call Of Duty:Black Ops - BC2:vietnam - and the Battlefield 3 beta coming too! it should be here on monday - so will be on for a quick blast in BC2. I did also get win 7 home premium for my gaming PC too (its currently running old win xp) but I want to run 64bit and have dx11!!

Well I finally decided to spend a few of my hard earned cash on a new graphics card for the next couple of years as my old 8800GT is getting a bit long in the tooth now for all these new games coming out, so I went ahead and got the following: Gainward GTX 460 Golden Sample - GLH - Link

ah goody, lets hope this beta is better than the one I played months ago!! I think they have decided to make it open beta so they can test all their backend servers are upto the job this time as they should be using a new system instead of the old "plasma" system that BC2 runs on for all the user logins & stats etc.

Yeah its a very ealry build beta and mine crashed a few times while playing - its not as polished as the BC2 beta was, thats for sure. Felt too much like a console port with slow controls, etc!! Hopefully the final game should be the same as BC2, as its using the same engine, etc. I think all they are doing is this as a backend excercise to amke sure their new systems work as expected.

I just got an email from Fileplanet this morning (as I am a subscriber) offering me the Beta for PC or PS3 Medal of Honor!! Am just downloading it all now and will get it installed on my gaming PC @ GF's tonight and see what its like....

ok guys, so a few of us were on last night playing and it seemed pretty good & stable for everyone. The main thing I was looking for in this patch was the crouch toggle & zoom toggle which work just fine and I think the chat window/death text is a little better too. Hit Registration seems to be just fine too and havent really noticed too much else yet as only played for a couple of hours. Anyone else noticed any problems or new improvements??

Have updated with the patch this morning, but didnt get a chance to fire it up and play due to work!! Am updating my crappy pc here at home also this morning, so should get to check it out in an hour or so....

It would appear that the new client & server patches (Client R8 & Server R15) have now passed all QA and should be released on Wednesday!! One of the programmers has posted the following over on the EA forums - here It appears the patch is pretty big too at nearly 900MB! Details below:

Bazza has posted an update on the EA UK forums today with some news on the long awaited patch!! It seems they have a big problem and need to roll back a feature that was added in a previous patch possibly. Original thread is: here Bazza's comments below:

Yep, thats right folks. Vietnam is coming to BC2 at Xmas it looks like. Yesterday at E3, EA announced that they will be releasing an expansion pack for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 called - Vietnam!! Anyone remember playing BF:Vietnam back in the day?? I do and it was mucho fun.... Details below:

Sounds like you have a complete jobsworths there!! Now you know to never ever ever ever buy anything from these guys again due to their shoddy customer service.

Thats pretty shoddy customer service on their part, which is one of the reasons I have never used overclockers. I'm a Scan.co.uk fanboy and havent had a single problem in the 7+ years i've been ordereing from them. I hope you get it sorted soon enough!
