I just put in a support request to have the TUG RvS/AS server updated to 1.60 & 1.10 respectively. Hopefully should be done within the next couple of days. I'll update when it's done.

Have been playing around with the forum & skins over the last couple of days. Decided to change everything to fixed width (985px) and made all the headers identical. Still need to finish off the banner logo with text & game logos & get the gallery working correctly.

Evenbalance has updated PB with a new Server & Client. Server has been updated to new version.

** Update ** Finally got the other skins to work with the gallery - so you should all now see it with whatever skin you have selected as a default. All I need to do now is import all the pics from our old gallery - then set up the permissions to allow uploads of pics & movies.

** Another Update ** Have just purchased the Gallery Add-on for these forums and will be installing & importing all the stuff over from the old gallery soon. What this will allow is all members to have their own gallery to play with & add pictures, etc. as well as the general public galleries. URL is here: http://www.clantug.com/forum/index.php?act...&module=gallery But - for some reason - it only displays when the default IPB skin is used - I'm working on finding out why that is now. Edit: Updated link - gallery is now live on the TUG site. Note: Currently - only TUG members can upload pictures & movies to the galleries. Once everything is set-up correctly I will look into allowing other members to use the facility. (Disk space/bandwidth etc)

Haha - cool. It's an extremely fun single player experience & the MP is mucho funno too.

I just noticed the other day that for some reason the PM's I had been sending werent being saved in my sent items folder. Seems during the update to v2.0.1 - that function is defaulted to NOT save. I have now modified the 3 skins to check the 'Save copy...' as a default. Please let me know if you have any problems. Thanks

Yep it is good. I've been using that link for a while to check servers - was going to put it on our site too once they updated it a bit more - just so I can show the server status.

Very simple indeed. You can buy the following to make a mini server-client network. 1. Server Machine - lotsa ram + ide raid + nic + a backup device 2. 100 MB switch Attach the server to the switch & then attach the 3 client machines to the switch. (Cat 5 RJ45 cables) Make sure all machine use the same ip range - i.e. 192.168.10.xx Make the server: 192.168.10.1 Clients: 192.168.10.10 - 192.168.10.11 - 192.168.10.12, etc Make some shares on the server. Job done. Thats a very simple explanation on how it can be done. There are definately other factors to look at. Do you want a true server or just somewhere to store files thats accessible from all 3 clients? Do you want the server to handle stuff like email & other things? There are a ton more questions I would ask too. Benny & I do this kinda thing for a job, so feel free to ask away.

The 3rd skin is now upload to the forum: Ambience You guys now have a choice of 3 skins - just take a look at thr bottom left of the forum & you'll notice a drop down box to select your skin view for the forum. I'll be updating each header/logo with a modified TUG banner to fit each scheme. 1. Default IPB 2.0.1 2. Ambience 3. Fusion

ouch - I havent had a problem with it yet while playing any games. But Flya did have a problem yesterday in that he couldnt talk while playing GR.

I went and purchased the Fusion skin & will be getting the Ambience for free. Still need to edit the emoticons & header gfx though.

In a surprise move - UBI has finally released the long awaited 1.60 patch for RavenShield & the 1.10 patch for Athena Sword. Changed it back to the default skin - was starting to hurt my eyes.
