.TuG.Benny
I have Vista on my laptop, but I've found it so slow and unreliable that I've now got dual boot with XP for gaming. As a business OS it does the job fine, maybe when the SP1 goes final, I'll try the games again.
Colin
If you are going to do this in spite of good or bad advice, you definatley need to dual boot. WITHOUT A DOUBT.

.TuG.DaveAlmighty
I, personally have no problems with vista. It's a little slow at first, but then it quickens up as you go along. I can run Call of Duty 4, max settings with lots of other stuff open (msn, firefox, iTunes) and it runs perfectly.
.TuG.Tweak
Same machine, same game, same settings. Yet 40fps slower on Vista, why? I removed it from my PC after an hour mate!! I would wait for SP1 to come out, and don't get me started on the sound issued either!!
Colin
Guys vista has bugs just read or google vista problem you will get thousands of threads. I have been using Vista for nearly 2 years in one form or another, currently using vista build 6001 sp1 version 2. This version is as quick as xp in all areas, but at a cost. Gamers need 2 gig min, decent system period, where xp you still can run on lower machine spec and still play the latest games. So like I said best bet is dual boot see if you like it, play around BUT DONT USE AS A CRITICAL DRIVE YOU MAY LOSE DATA.
