Backing up current profile for COD4 - advice needed

I will be investing in a new PC soon but dont want to lose my current COD 4 profile - it took me ages to get the head shots needed for a golden shotgun!!

 

Can anyone suggest the best way i can keep my profile and transfer it to the new one??

its really easy

go into programs folder

then look for cod 4 folder (Activision )

then in there open players folder then copy PROFILES folder onto desktop or anything then easy way is to zip it up and email it to your self so you have a permanant copy if your system goes down or copy it to a disk or floppy if you backing up loads of stuff but the folder is only about 60 odd megs

Are you backing up with an external hardrive? Best to just put it on there as it's piss easy to lose a floppy or CD...

I've just done this and it's dead easy as wizzy said. I used a CDRW with no probs. label it up and put it somewhere safe
