Yep may not come out for the PC yet as its the same team that made COD 3 which was poor and wasnt released for the PC :) thank god, there still no word if it will go back to WWII or stay with the moderen theme, hopefully they will implement some sort of Hardcore mode and a allow players to walk instead of always running my man gets nackered and the ability to reduce the fire rate would be nice :)

Man. I swear to god, if I can't run in this game, it'll drive me nuts. Just been playing the original CoD today. You try running past a fricken tank while bloody walking!.

But yeah, going back to World War Two is completely pointless. It's like what they did during world war two! They started digging trenches and we almost lost because of out-dated tactics.

I heard it has been in production for some time mate. Companys are no longer building games for the pc then porting them over they are now building them only for the game consoles and then if its easy enough they will port it to the PC which is why we are not getting any new maps yet like the consoles for cod 4 as they dont know how to charge the PC, if they release maps for a price peeps will just use a torrent site and we all have them :)

Sources tell us that the upcoming Call of Duty 5 game in development is already playable, and currently going through quality assurance.

Treyarch is also said to be the developer, and the title, we're told, is set in a WWII Pacific environment and will be using Call of Duty 4's engine, the same engine on which the upcoming James Bond: Quantum of Solace movie game is being built.

Yesterday, on the company's call to investors, Activision publishing CEO Mike Griffith said CoD5 would be coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and DS, in addition to a return for the franchise to PS2 and Wii for the first time in two years.

  • 3 weeks later...

This makes me shudder a little bit...

Treyarch (SP) have never developed a title for PC as far as I know, all they did was the x360 version of COD3....

Here's hoping that its not some dumb console port that feels like a console port!!

The pacific theatre & co-op sounds excellent, not too sure about vehicles though, it does sound like they are wondering into BF2 territory, which means the maps are going to have to be alot bigger than they currently are.

/me keeps fingers crossed. :D
