I swapped mine a while ago form AMD to Intel with absolutely no problems at all. I think you just have to be lucky.

I've got Company of Heros and Dawn of War?? I can get a copy of World in Conflict as well, the best of the bunch if you as me.

Ho, If your going for a gaaming rig then I would REALLY recommend a Q6600. They're well worth the extra few quid, and as some of the newer games are Quad Core optomised (Crysis and COD4 being the first) it makes a bit more sense. There's not a lot between the 2 CPU's yet, but that will more than likey change. Also, get a 1333mghz MB, or even wait for the true Penryn chips to come out. Current Quad cores are just 2 x Dual core, the CPU's comming out soon are true Quad core processors which will see a big jump in performance. Hope you jump on the sever for a game of COD4 soon!!

Oh I misread the post. Beaver, don't you think its a bit of overkill getting a rig like that for bloody email and stuff?? Is the RAM the "Ballistix" gear that I got? If so, it's awesome.

Should have got a Q6600 though! Same price and overclckable to 3ghz easily!

Yes, it's about as useful as a chocolate dildo. One of the maps you can't even get off the spawn because the other side can snipe at you from their spawn????WTF! The new weapons are cack, and the maps are uninventive. Too little, far far too late. No is someone would construct GRAW2 maps in COD4, that would be nice!!

Thats basically my old rig although I had 2 x6800 in SLI mode. Everything was fine until GRAW2 came out and every setting had to go to "Low" to play it at a low res. My new Rig lets me basically play it on any res I want in widescreen with everything on high and doesn't go below about 75 fps! It a good guage of how much better the new Intel CPU's are.
