I have recently bought Armed assault. After installing the game and downloading 1.8gb of patches(!!!!!!!!!!) the game , I have to say, is really quite good. Take no notice of JJ cos he doesn't like anything other than GRAW so his views are a bit subjective to say the least. The game may be a bit to "real" for a lot of people, JJ complaining that you can't shoot properly without looking down the sight....erm just like real life then eh JJ?? The game is full of tension and some great set pieces (like sniping a convoy of trucks half a mile away an killing 28 enemy from a water tower without gettin killed) Addmittedly there are still a few bugs but nothing as catastrophic as the release version of the game. Enemy tanks make you shit yourself as in Flashpoint and enemy soldiers are very accurate too. I'm currently stuck on a level where I have to blow up a bridge while enemy tanks are on it. Trouble is I have 5 satchel charges but dont know where or how may to put on the bridge. If anyone can help me I would be most greatful. Regards Pablo .TuG.Tweak

Just played through the SP demo. It's great! the level I played is a lot more expansive than GR:AW, but not as expansive as GR. The AI is inproved, your men use their GLs and switch to MP5's etc when in cramped conditions (nice touch). The accuracy of the rifls is unbeleivable, and they've made the red dot on the scope a lot less intrusive. On the RX4 rifle the red spot has been replaced with a little red triangle(??) the point of which is where the bullet is gonna go!! It works great. You can also tag enemies in SP mode!!!!!!! (YESSSSSSSSSSS) Which adds a new dimension to tactical planning. Did I mention that is looks absolutely gorgeous? The distant scenery looks bout as real as I've ever seen on a PC. The explosions are amazing (at one point I took out an APC with a .50cal machine gun and sent baddies flying everywhere) The scope for tactical attacks is back thanks to the much impoved cross com as it works the same way as GR, you can set up pincer movements with ease. It's gonna be a real quality game in co-op mode!

I'd be more worried about a new graphics card and geting yourself hard wired into your broad band to be honest mate!! lol lol

You might want to get an 8800 to play this guys!! Mine has just arrived I'm sitting here with a dirty big grin on my face and I have to say I'm moderately aroused! ETQW with everything maxed out at stupidhundred x stupidhundred resolution at 100 FPS!! can't be bad!! lol GRAW 2 looks like a report from Iraq it's that good! Anyone with less than a 7950 I would strongly urge you to buy one, the leap in performance is amazing.

This is why .TuG. are the best! I'm not even nearly the best player either! This was a infinite resp server. Guess who never got killed once!! And the opposition have some known good players! Just shows what a bit of practice can do! lol
