Not being rude or nasty (as i have no reason to be), but, I to have been playing this game since it was release 3 years ago, I started out with The Black Plague, many moons ago and have even been a member of =SeALZ=, and now i'm a TUG, and i like many others have no idea who you are, so saying you've been playing since beta doesnt really mean anything. Ive as previously stated played since the release in the UK but i dont feel with my experience it gives me the right to enter other peoples servers and act in any way that may be deemed inappropriate. I am amazed that you joined our forums just to have a go at us over something that you initiated. Please, please, show how honorable you would like us to think you are by not coming back here again, if DoW has their own forums you may say whatever you like there, that is your choice, but please don't bring it here. people only tend to get banned from the TUG server for inappropriate behaviour. So if your banned it will be with good reason. If you post here again please make sure you add an apology on the end to Kaiser, for your slanderous comments. Thankyou GL HF

NEW PATCH FOR BATTLEFIELD 1.01
UnDyingUK replied to .TuG.Wizard's topic in Other Games - Released/Upcoming
If That's Not Enough For You, We Have More! DICE has been hard at work creating more content and adding features for future updates of Battlefield Vietnam. Coming up next in the Vietnam 1.1 update will be many new features for Battlefield Vietnam, including a voting GUI, enhancements to the 3D Map and more server options such as the Orbit cam and more. To tease you a bit, today we are featuring two new air vehicles that will appear for the first time in "The Defense of Con Thien", DICE's first official free map for Battlefield Vietnam, also due in the 1.1 update. Choppers Up first is the OH-6 Loach, a Scout helicopter used by the US in the Vietnam conflict. Seen below hovering over a broken bridge, the Loach is quicker and more agile than any other helicopter included in BFV and carries both a pilot and an armed passenger. The pilot has access to a pair of chain guns which serve as the Loach's primary weapon and can place artillery strike markers (or cameras) with the secondary fire. Any friendly artilleryman can home in on these markers using the artillery piece's secondary fire. To counter this new US helicopter, the NVA will have access to the KA-25 "Hormone" attack helicopter. Originally designed as a sub-hunter, the "Hormone" (seen below) was adapted later in the war as a ground attack chopper. In BFV it is equipped with chain guns (usable by the pilot), radar and heat-seeking missiles (usable by the "co-pilot"). Faster and more maneuverable than the MI-8 "Hinds", these should be a real treat to fly for any veteran pilot. Keep watching this space for more information on the 1.1 update and "The Defense of Con Thien" as we move into Summer. From EAComMike and the rest of the Batlefield team, enjoy the 1.01 Update and Rock n' Roll Private! -
we should get a few more members with RvS and/or AS first, perhaps????

5 discs...... lmao!!! I got a friend to mail it to me on 1 DVD disc, so much easier, well ive just finished a 6-7 hour Far Cry or should i say Far Fetched, This has got to be the only game ive ever played that changes the difficulty level during the game. I mean it starts off fine plenty of ammo and armour and health, stunning visuals, (surprise #1 it ran on my machine ). Then later on when you pick up ammo etc, you get 10 armour 5 ammo - but health fills up fully. Anyway ive just got to this bit where ive come down in a lift, and theres 2 of the big monsters with rocket launchers on their hand, and now i fired 4 rockets and pointblank range into one of these things and it didnt do a thing, yet earlier in the the game ive put em down with an M4, go figure. Anyway theres 2 of the big monsters and no where to run, its just so lame assed. Why take a fun playable game and turn it into an unplayable pile of shite partway through, what am i saying UBIsoft had a hand in here, theres my answer <_< It has some nice touches like the hang gliders and i like the buggys, bit like halo buggys just faster, so why oh why must they make it unplayable. For instance just prior to going down in the lift, there was this guy in a helicopter, just stood there firing at me with his minigun, so i use up all my sniper ammo and 2/3 of my rocket ammo trying to take this guy, I even shot him point blank with a rocket and he wouldnt die, when i ran past the heli on my way to the door, the heli just flew away, a pointless waste of gameplay, not to mention the ammo i wasted on him. All in all i'm glad i had a crack copy instead of wasing ?35 on buying the game.

Whilst reading through those posts there was one point in there that rang truth with me. Now being as the whole point in releasing console games first then PC later almost as an afterthought, is money making, you quite simply get more money on console games, but the big question that i'm talking about will ubi try to make GR2 MP cost the gamer, like MMOG's do? Cause if they did, well it would kill the game dead. All in all, GR2 for the PC gamer does not from where i am standing look to good at all, i mean talk about a sold out, GR became big on the PC and was eventually ported over to the consoles, but to put the consoles first, in the sequel is rude and just plain stoopid, there are by far more Online GR (PC) than there ever will be on consoles. And yet the accountants are pulling the strings, instead of the marketers, when will companys realise you have to supply the goods to where the market is biggest not where you think the most money is, fause building the game for PC will bring in the dough cause we're all here waiting for it.

And I thought 'I' had to much time on my hands!! Thanks for the massive quantity of options but i think i'll stick with my mummy for now

i didnt watch it that far, only managed 10 mins

to be honest its unlikely that i will ever sell my copy of BF-V, I have all versions of BF 1942, and enjoy them all immensly, i even have the Secret Weps of WWII. And the only reason i sold CoD is because i got so fed up with the game that i could just no longer stand playing it, it was fun at first, but then the cheaters ruined it for me, but in the end it was the gay ass snipers that pitched me over the edge. two steps...........dead...................no idead where that came from two steps...........dead...................----------------ditto--------------- two steps...........dead...................----------------ditto--------------- yay i'm having fun..................NOT!

and having just watched the first 10 mins of that "teaser", GR2 at the moment looks to me like a mix of SOCOM:Navy Seals, BHD, R6 3 (console) and a GR theme laid loosly in the background. Hopefully the unreal engine will not be employed on the PC version of the game, because RvS' gay rag doll effect wont do it any favours in my opinion. But overall the oportunity to have more than just 1 alt weapon is good, i think, it has the basic R6-3 HUD for changing and carrying upto 4 weapons instead of the usual 2. Considering the GR following on the PC has always been the majority, i do sincerly hope that it comes to the PC, and not just staying on the sell out console market, its popularity stems from PC users, but as the demo shows it is currently in console form.

or if you dont kill yourself and half your team

Its bound to look good in that rolling demo because thats a console demo, you can tell by the rets and the way the rets are moved round the screen - its all straight lines. Looks like it will be released on consoles first and the PC might get a look in later if we're lucky

I aint fussed either way i sold my copy of CoD on eBay yesterday for ?14.99
-
lol thats what I said last night

Before this turns into a all out flame war please dont.............. So ya got kicked so what there are plenty of other servers out there, theres no need to get all rowdy
-
What can i say, not bad at all, in fact i'd even stretch to quite good, the SFX are awesome. Well worth the cost of 2 tickets in my opinion, even though being disabled means me and the wife get in to the cinema for ?4 for the both of us
-
wasnt it nice of UBI to let someones 10 yearold create that audio intro i'm just hoping they dont F*** it up
-
Personnaly i think they should worry about supplying us with a good quality game that is playable, (demo's so far havent impressed me that much). Then when they have got a good stable playable game on the market then, worry about ladders
-
Amazon do it for ?14.98 + P&P. or you can buy it there for from a registered user for ?11.99 + P&P, apparently shipped from the US although it claims to be UK PAL (not that it matters with PC games)
-
Ya cant tonight, its CoD nite tonight

Well in this months issue of PC Gamer it gives a little info on the new addon for CoD, even shows piccys of a german with a flamethrower, but dont get excited yet apparently the flamethrower wont be available for use in the SP, but hasnt said whether or not it will be available in the MP. Again there is the 3, diferenet campaigns - Americans, Russian and British. American Campaign is played in the Battle of the Bulge withe 101st airborne, The Russian Campaign is played in the Battle of Kursk, and apparently the it is rumoured that the british campaign will be played in the back of a bomber keeping wave after wave of fighters at bay. Currently due out in the UK, Autumn 2004, (so will prolly be out for christmas).

Need Help Badly
UnDyingUK replied to UnDyingUK's topic in Computers / Consoles / Mobile Phones / Gadgets
Just connected the laptop to the router with a shiny new CAT6 Patch Cable, and the laptop is now connected to the internet. May I also say that the staff at PC World are F'ing useless, i asked a guy in the store which cable i should get, and he told me it didnt matter as they were all the same. And after 3 mins of looking at the cables i found that there were 3 differnent types, CAT6, FastCAT5e & Std CAT5e, CAT 6 being the one i was looking for anyway, because that was the one Belkin website suggested i use, + there were about 4 different lengths and different colours to choose from. Which kinda proves if i had no idea what i was looking for i could well have walked away with the wrong cable as the cheapest cable the Std CAT5e is only good for file sharing and cannot handle the broadband use that i wanted. -

As the title suggests............... ........... Right, today i tried to install my new shiny Belkin 4-Port Cable/DSL Gateway Router. I have now got an internet connection to my desktop through the router (whether i can play any games through it is anyones guess) But, i am unable to get a internet connection to the wifes laptop via the router, i found on the Belkin homepage info that said to connect another computer to my router i just had to turn off both computers and turn off the router and my modem, then connect both computers to the router and connect the router to the modem, then power up everything and it will be done, BUT, all this did for me is remove the connection to everything so now i have 2 computers connected and no internet connection, but if i disconnect the laptop from the router then restart everything then i get my desktop connection back. This is reall frustrating. I have a cross over cable between the laptop and the router, is this correct cable type? Its what i had b4 the router Any ideas would be useful (on topic please)
