SAF_Kaiser
Finally got the flat panel working well now. Just wondering if any of the larger screen flat panels are getting good enough for gaming? any one heard of any so far?
Tantalus
Check out AlienWare for their choice of Flat-Panel monitors including; the NEC 19" LCD 1960NXi-BK MultiSync, the NEC 20" LCD 2080UX+-BK MultiSync and the beastly NEC 30" LCD 3000 LCD. If it's good enough for Alienware then it's good enough for me! The ALX Games Machine gets me hard every time I visit the page! I am currently trying to convince the wife that the Aurora Extreme or the Area-51 Extreme would (equally) make an ideal Christmas present for yours truly... Tantalus
I like them.. my last 2 systems have been nforce2 mainboard based.. It's just a matter of choosing a decent manufacturer!

Tantalus
I have moved over to MSI for my mainboards now, as ASUS can be quite particular as to the OEM type memory used. You should take a look at MSI's new K8N Neo2 Platinum which is based on an nVIDIA? nForce3 Ultra Chipset with FSB 1000 and has, for your user-pleasure, Five 32-bit v2.3 Master PCI bus slots supporting the 3.3v/5v PCI bus interface. The link above has more details.. enjoy.
.TuG.Bulldog
looks perrrrrr fect! i have seen it for ?85 is that good? and is it worth waiting for the new faster pci slots or does this have them?
Tantalus
This is as good as it gets for a while.. yes this has the 'advanced' PCI slots and ?85 seems OK! Dabs.com have it at ?92 with only 1 in stock! Savastore have it listed at ?82:19 but a 3 day lead-time. I imagine this may be quite difficult to obtain to start with.. I am keeping my eyes peeled for any reviews as the board becomes more widespread.. at the moment actual HARD reviews, rather than press releases, are non-existant for this individual item! Sheesh, new technology eh!
