They are releasing a 3.0.1 update shortly which adds back in the ability to either the new "View New Content" or the old style - View New Topics. Which buttons are you on about?? I;ve replied to a few threads now and not had any issues.

  13. BIS have decided to release an update v1.02 patch with a new build that addresses some issues. Details below: We decided to release an updated patch 1.02 build 58134, please visit http://www.arma2.com/support/updates...4.html?lang=en for more information about the patch and available download options. DO NOT USE FOR STEAM VERSION Few notes: * our main reason to release an updated 1.02 version is newly implemented full support for anti-aliasing in this build that we believe increases visual quality significantly without any major performance impact * this patch is compatible with all previously released versions (1.00, 1.01 and 1.02) * all versions 1.02 remain compatible in multiplayer and also savegames from various versions 1.02 are compatible so the transition process to this updated version 1.02, build 58134 should be as seamless as possible for all users Change log for build 58134 from the previous patch 1.02: * Fixed localVRAM detection on Vista x64 systems with 8 GB RAM and more * Enabled MSAA in Video options * Fixed possible crash in Radio target reporting for NULL target * Fixed DOF always enabled on game start. * Added safeguard againg frequent reset into RequestFlushMemory as well. * Improved Cannot create surface Rpt messages. * Relaxed reset recovery conditions to that "profylactic" reset happens less often. * HC command - enabled page selection * Commandline parameter -netlog available in retail version again * Editor fix: modules info serialization * Fix: weapon fire effects in MP Mirrors: Torrent www.atomicgamer.com www.fraggedout.info GOL Clan Mirror fangaming.com kamran.cc Rapidshare

  17. ARMA II Demo [Jun 25, 2009, 10:44 am ET] Though it's not yet reflected on the ARMA II Website, the promised playable demo for the military shooter sequel from Bohemia Interactive Studios is now available. This forum post the latest DirectX 9 Redistributable for those encountering a "Demo failed to launch, X3DAudio1_6.dll was not found" error. Here's word on the demo: (thanks I Love Slippery Jim) lists download locations for the demo, and offers a tip to install The fictional post-Soviet state of Chernarus provides the location for all the action in ArmA II and gamers will have the opportunity to explore its highland area in the demo version, along with the small Chernarussian island of Utes. More specifically, the ‘boot camp’ missions are all available which act as tutorials for the game’s many disciplines including helicopter flight, unit command and base construction. In addition, the full single player mission ‘Trial By Fire’ from the main campaign and the multiplayer map ‘Mini Warfare’, allowing ArmA fans the chance to trial three multiplayer modes, are included in the demo. A selection of over 20 vehicles, over 25 weapons and various soldier and civilian models will be included, although these represent only a fraction of those available in the retail version. “Distilling ArmA II’s gameplay into a trial sized package has been a bit of a challenge because there is just so much in there that we want to show off,” commented Mark Allen, European Communications Manager for 505 Games. “In the end we’ve decided to be pretty generous, there are five types of rocket launcher in there for starters!”
  18. Make sure you have the latest nvidia/ati drivers and take a look at the BIS forums - there are a couple threads about using a tool called nhancer to turn off vsync in vista (you got vista??) etc. I have it looking and running nice on my desktop PC - 1680 X 1050 with settings to High - 8800GT, but am struggling to find a good balance on the laptop as its native res is 1920X1080 (fullHD!) and it only has a 9700M GT in it - oh and running vista x32 ultimate, which I think is gay!!
  19. Found a link over on the BIS forums to a guy who has made tons of movies for Arma & ArmaII. The one linked below is awesome - 1000 AI having a big fight!!
