  1. I have now finally got the Comments working from the main site, so that when a new Item/Post is made to the main website, a corresponding post will also be made in the forums with the full content and a link back to the Item/Post on the main page. You guys can then all comment on the post as a normal reply in the forum, and it'll be visible on the main site under the post! Everything appears to be working as expected, but please let me know if you find any problems. The 1st Item/Post has already been made to the main site/forum comments - here
  2. Awesome news. Wish there was more than 4 CQB maps though!
  3. EA ROLLS OUT THREE THEMED EXPANSION PACKS FOR MULTI-PLATINUM BATTLEFIELD 3 As Fans Continue to Devour the First Expansion Pack, Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand, DICE Announces Three New Packs that Expand the Smash Hit with New Modes, Maps and Weapons Guildford, UK. – March 7, 2012 – The Battlefield™ army is over 12 Million strong and growing every day as Battlefield 3™ and its first expansion, Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand continues to recruit gamers around the world with its dynamic sandbox gameplay and state-of-the-art technology. Today, DICE, an Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: EA) studio, demonstrates its ongoing commitment to fans by unveiling three new themed digital expansion packs* that will enhance the superior Battlefield experience with fresh and innovative gameplay, new modes, unique environments and more ways to wage all-out-war on the battlefield. Powered by the Frostbite™ 2 engine, the next expansion packs are: Battlefield 3: Close Quarters in June,Battlefield 3: Armored Kill in the fall, and Battlefield 3: End Game in the winter. Battlefield 3: Close Quarters – In Battlefield 3: Close Quarters, players are dropped into a frantic, infantry-only theatre of war.Frostbite 2 high definition destruction makes the environment come alive as everything from furniture to plaster gets shot to pieces. Players will feel the intensity of the world exploding around them as rubble and broken pieces pile up on the floor, while tight level design and vertical gameplay create a highly competitive environment.Battlefield 3: Close Quarters also introduces new weapons, assignments and unique dog tags to bring back to the base game. Battlefield 3: Armored Kill– Following the tight infantry gameplay of Battlefield 3: Close Quarters, DICE will release Battlefield 3:Armored Kill that ups the ante for vehicular mayhem as only Battlefieldcan do. Featuring new driveable tanks, ATVs, mobile artillery and more, Battlefield 3: Armored Kill also delivers huge battlefields for an all-out vehicle assault, including the biggest map in Battlefield history. Battlefield 3: End Game – The fourth expansion pack will ship in the winter but details remain tightly guarded. Patrick Bach, Executive Producer, Battlefield 3 said, “Instead of delivering piecemeal map packs, we’re giving players a completely new experience with every themed expansion pack to keep the action fresh. Our expansions are designed to excite our large and active fan base while attracting new recruits with gameplay that is dynamic and unpredictable every time.” Battlefield 3 is supported by a robust, and completely free social platform called Battlelog that invites players to compete, communicate and play with friends. Gamers track personal stats, compare against other players and join a platoon in an effort to dominate the battlefield. To add to the competitive fervor, a fully integrated rent-a-server program for console players will be available for gamers to play online with friends the way they want to play in either private, public, ranked or unranked matches. For more information about these enhancements and future plans for Battlelog, please visit www.battlefield.com. Since its launch on Oct. 28th, Battlefield 3 has quickly become the fastest selling title in EA’s 20+ year history selling more than 12 Million units since release. Lauded by game critics worldwide for its compelling single player campaign, intense co-op missions and its addictive and world class multiplayer, Battlefield 3 has won more than 120 awards including IGN.com’s “Best Multiplayer Game of 2011.” Battlefield 3 is available now in North America and Europe for the Xbox 360® videogame and entertainment system, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment and PC. 4. Hi All, I have been busy doing some updates to the main website this weekend and have a couple of great additions. First off we have a new Server page which details our TS3 & BF3 server details & secondly we have a new BF3 Leaderboard/Stats page which has all our members added. You can click on a players name to get a full list of all their stats or alternatively link through to BF3stats.com (this is where we are pulling the stat info from) or link through to the players stats on Battlelog. Please give any feedback/issues you have on the new pages here in this thread, thanks. I will hopefully be adding some additional pages to the site in the coming weeks as time allows.
  5. It would appear that after much speculation that it was a console only game, Ghost Recon:Future Soldier has finally been confirmed as coming to the PC in a youtube video & via the official GhostRecon.com website.
  6. Cheers - have done some research on this one too and it also costs money for the full version. More research todo once the basics are done!
  7. Have already had a look at that hook, but its $50 which I'm not willing to spend right now. Once I have the basics setup for the site, we can take a look at the BF3stats API and see how we can better use it. I did try the IPB.Comments the other day too, and it partially worked, but threw up errors on the WP side when viewing a post, so I had to disable it for now while I do some research with the plugin author.
  8. ** Update ** I've spent a few hours this afternoon playing with the layouts in Wordpress and have produced a new Team (Roster) page for the site. Hope you like it. Feedback here please if you find anything wrong with it. New link for the Team page is: http://www.tugteam.com/team Thanks.
  9. Cheers. Yeah its fun on TS, especially if we've been drinking!
  10. Hi Josh & welcome to the forums. No doubt Skeet's already co-opted you onto our Teamspeak 3 server, but if not, then the server details can be found in the following thread: http://forums.tugteam.com/index.php?/topic/5444-new-ts3-server-online-29072011/ I've also updated your forum permissions, so you should be seeing some of the private areas now too. If you could also chuck the TuGr tags into your BF3 profile so it pops up in-game [TuGr]iBFG, that would be great. We normally ask that all new guys wear the 'r' (recruit) tags for a little while as we get to know you & you get to know us... Dont worry, there's no silly tests, rituals or bribes to undertake to get the 'r' removed. Just come play & have fun in-game, on TS & in the forums. Hopefully see you online soon when my wife-to-be lets me start playing again! (on joking..)
  11. Yep am looking into all that old stuff too. I still have it all archived away in databases and other websites. And yes some new sig templates are surely needed too. A stats plugin for BF3stats would be good that's a bit more customisable than the one you already linked to. Which only allowed you to show 1 player in a widget. Am getting a few things done just now as we're slow at work, so have some free time during the day to do things. That however can change in an instant...
  12. Hey all, I have now finished the 1st draft layout for our Roster page. So far I have only added Names, Country & Games. In the Games column, you can click the BF3 graphic to go straight to your Player stats on Battlelog. Check it out here: www.tugteam.com/roster/ and please let me know if any of the info is wrong, links are wrong etc or if you'd like alternative information added! Thanks.
  13. Yep I got that one too bookmarked.
  14. Thanks dude, this is on my list of things "to do" for the site.
  15. Hi All, As its the new year & I finally had 5 minutes free to myself (while being ill!) I decided to start on a new main website for TuG in 2012. Gone is the old Joomla CMS and in comes the new Wordpress 3.3 with a nice premium theme, and lots of options to play with! Over the next few weeks, I will be getting the new site up and running & adding new content along with some actual news posts on the new main site. There will be Twitter integration, RSS Feeds from various gaming sites & some other cool stuff. oh and we are now on Twitter as clan/community! For those of you that use Twitter, follow @tugteam for all the latest updates on the new main website & forums. As always, I hope you guys will give some input and feedback into the new site & let me know what you'd like to see in the RSS feeds, along with any other cool things that could be included. So what are you waiting for... go check out the new site: www.tugteam.com
  16. Just thought I'd start off a threads about mobile phones, and let everyone shout about what they're rolling with right now. I have the new Samsung Galaxy Nexus, that has a cracking 4.65" 720p HD Super Amoled Screen & is running Android 4.0.2 (IceCream Sandwich) Specs & Stuff: http://www.google.co.uk/nexus/ and here's how I've customised the phone...

  23. hey bro - nice to see you back on the forum. Sounds like a good thing to do - just let me know if you need anything on the website/forums to help make it happen! Personally I don't game on the PS3 as I suck on a controller and prefer my Keyboard/Mouse combo, etc but will do whatever I can to help you out if needed. Just say the word.
