lol - I saw that earlier on your forum.... not sure how you managed to get to the point of me buying you all new gfx cards though!

** UPDATE ** After reading the ArmA forums, it appears all I need to do is install directx onto the server & the dedicated server mode should work fine. Will try & do it tonight.

The Demo for Armed Assault as well as the demo dedicated server files are now out. Who wants to dl the demo and join me for some testing? Hopefully they will release a proper dedicated server package shortly.

.TuG.H0 has asked me to put some more custom maps onto our Public CS:S Server. I have a list of approx 10-15 and will be putting 5 at a time onto the server over the next week or so. Me, & Brok just spent 7 hours (4:30-11:30pm), along with JJUK & Tweak for a few of those playing the co-op story mode. We didnt manage to finish it off yet - only when as far as Tower Top, and will be finishing it off soon! The 2 co-op modes available seem to be the most fun so far. Just what I was looking for.

** UPDATE #2 ** The 1.02 Patch is now released. Get via the in-game update utility or from UBI's FTP here: http://patches.ubi.com/rainbow_six_vegas/

** UPDATE ** It's been confirmed on the UBI german forums that the patch will be out tonight. Probably 6pm GMT'ish if they stick to their regular release schedules. There should also be some dedicated server files along shortly too.

Havent played the SP much yet, but JJUK - Tweak & myself had some good fun playing co-op terrorist hunt. Definately reminded me of the CO-OP TH fun I had with Ravenshield. The game definately shows its XBOX360 roots and needs another quick patch to fix the MP lobby issues. I'm not going to write it off just yet.

If you think I'm gonna spend over ?350 on an 8 series card, then you are insane. The card I have it the fastest pre 8 series card and it'll be a good 6-12 months before there's enough dx10 only games that will warrant upgrading.

OMG!!! No.2 GR:AW has detected my new card & everything is turned to HIGH!! Crikey Batman!! I must admit, the game does now look nice at 1280x1024@75 with everything turned on. Will have to play with post effect settings though I think. @Skeeta - XFX ROCKS BABY!! You know it blood!

OMG!!! IT'S SO QUIET... I have to keep checking to see if the PC is switched on.

I decided to buy myself a nice new Xmas present this morning.... Here's my new GFX card which should hopefully last me for a couple of years just as my trusty 6600GT did. Its an: XFX 7950GT 550M 512MB DDR3 HDCP DUAL DVI TV-OUT (TOTAL SILENT COOLING)

I still havent received my copy from play.com yet. There should be some dedicated server files available this week & I'm going to throw up a co-op server on our dedicated box for some tango hunts. There's a very good tweak guide on the UBI R6:Vegas forums telling you how to fix alot of the visual problems you might be having along with some other interesting stuff. http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/frm/f/3801065024 I'll reserve judgement until I've actually played it.
