Games re made!

Recommended Posts

Cinemaware's old "Wings". Nice little game and perfect for consoles and could make a nice flash game, perhaps ad financed.

Geoff Crammond's "Formula One" race games: (if you have played it you know what I mean, if not, just skip this paragraph)

With the help functions activated, it provides an excellent "equalizer", allowing people to play on almost even terms using gamepads, steering wheels or even keyboards.

"Gunship 2000" and "Red Storm Rising", still the best helisim and subsim, respectively, evah.

I also remember an old Amiga game called "Hunter": You were given a task like "blow up this facility", but exactly how you did it was entirely up to you. You could roam free across a huge map, enter every building and use any vehicle for transport, even a windsurfer! You could collect stuff that might come in handy (like explosives for blowing stuff up).

I still have Gunship sat boxed on my shelf. :)

That was an excellent game for its time.

At last someone who nows something about game!! Hunter was an amazing game that was so ahead of it's time in terms of ideas. Have you tried Gunship by Infogrammes?? It came out in 2000? It's really good.

F1 was truly amazing( I had as Atari ST) Do you remember a sim called Armageddon? Where you could pilot al manner of vehicles? The abject was to find all the parts of a Nuke, then assemble it and then fly a B52 and drop it on the enemy base?? All totally freeform?

Wow, those were the days eh??

Yes I beleive it was originally by Microsoft. I was actually playing it recently and it still stands up to todays graphics quite well. There is a new Heli sim series called Enemy Engaged. The first one is very good, the sequel a little bit of a let down.

F1. You got a PS3? Play the new one on that, as I was thinking formula one, but as they update it basically every year...

No Dave, this is a different one. It was much better than those other ones.

It was available on Amiga nd Atari ST. Google it and you'll find all sorts on it.

MicroProse, my friend, MicroProse. If I didn't know it was just a typo we might have had to exchange a word or two... ;)

I might give Gunship! it a look-see at some point.

they do exist, you can make one too but i cba with that, just need to find a place that will ship to me :( also not too expensive.

But your missing one glaringly obvious point mate, it was the worst controller ever, on any machine in the history of consoles. I played Goldeneye to death and it all but ruined my wrist (obvious comeback to that one I bet). Do yourself a favour mate and get a 360 pad instead!

OMG, The Bitmap Brothers! Zenon I and II, Magic Pockets and my fav Speedball 2!! They've just remade it but its awfull.

If you think about it it aint hard....

We need a fast 3D engine to use for a Speedball update??Mmmmmm.......

That would be the new Unreal Engine, I must get the UT forums and suggest it to the modders, bet someone has already done it.
