.TuG.Beaver
Yesterday as I was ordering some new kit for work - I decided to splash out and buy myself a new 17" TFT too. Here's the Spec: Iilyama Prolite 431S The ProLite E431 model has a 17-inch (43cm) TN Wide Angle panel with a native resolution of 1280 x 1024 (1,3 Mpix), and response time of 16 msec. With this in mind, not only is it an excellent monitor for all business applications, but shows added advantages in graphics, video and DVD movie play. Furthermore the ProLite E431 offers a rich sound via its 2 x 1.5W integrated speakers or headphone socket. It is also equipped with a digital DVI-D input in addition to the standard VGA connector. Power saving is a key feature ? by activating the economy mode you can reduce power consumption and preserve backlight usage. sRGB and gamma adjustments further enhance the high quality features of this LCD monitor. It is an excellent choice for both multimedia and office applications. The model is available in ivory (ProLite E431S-W), black (ProLite E431S- or silver (ProLite E431S-S). Panel TN Wide Angle Diagonal 17" (43 cm) Response time 16 msec Contrast ratio 450 : 1 typical Brightness 250 cd / m? typical Viewing zone H: 140?, V: 120?, right / left each 70?, top / bottom each 60? .TuG.Benny
Funny old thing. I too have recently abused my position in work to purchase a nice new HP1702 17" TFT. Come to think of it, they recently (unknowingly, of course) purchased a nice new AMD Athlon64 2800+, 400FSB Gigabyte board and 1Gb of memory, which is now on test in my house!!! I love my job Oh and they just bought me a nice new server for home too. Dual Xeon 3Ghz with 2Gb RAM and 76Gb of lovely 15k SCSI HD. and before you ask.... sod off it's my job!!!!!
